Primary Function:

 

Supervision of assigned students and assistance in the facilitation of the instructional program as directed.

 

Requirements:

 

• Educational Level: Prefer Associate’s Degree or two years (60 semester hours) of college.

• Certification/Licensing: Valid Paraprofessional License or is able to meet requirements to obtain a license

• Proficiency Skills: Good written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of effective instructional techniques and strategies. Demonstration of fair and equitable classroom management skills.

• Personal Skills: Pleasant personality, cooperative attitude, physical skills and stamina to perform essential duties.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Demonstrates professionalism at all times. Satisfy criminal backsround, works well with students daily, monitors students, demonstartaes initiative and enthusiasm in working with students, works well with supervising teachers, demonstrates good ethical decision making abilities, maintains confidentiality of students and staff, participates in professional trainings and meetings, assists the teacher with routine housekeeping, record keeping and preparation of instructional materials, dresses in a professional manner.
